From today the old jetty will be systematically dismantled with the new cyclone proof version on the right taking its place. For all the details check with Ian Flatters in site 62. He has spoken to the on site builders and has all the goss. Thanks to his neighbours the Wrights in site 63 for the photo.
It was a tightly fought contest with a dramatic late surge from Paris on the final day to pip Sunday at the finish. We had prize giving at the sausage sizzle yesterday, but unfortunately Chris Howell and Chris Macfarlane (who have both been taking the dog show too seriously, although we like that) were on a male bonding trip to Cape York.

There is a solo art exhibition by Sal Badcock starting this Saturday at Mission Arts. If we had the time we would go, so we're going to have to leave it up to others to go out and do a bit of cultural learning and appreciation. Here is the camping area doing what it does best, being full of tents. Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson were going camping. They pitched their tent under the stars and went to sleep. Sometime in the middle of the night Holmes woke Watson up and said: "Watson, look up at the sky, and tell me what you see." Watson replied: "I see millions and millions of stars." Holmes said: "And what do you deduce from that?" Watson replied: "Well, The forecast is for a little son with brighter spots to follow... And the new royal prince finally has a name! George Alexander Louis. Which means we have two winners of our Royal Baby Sweepstakes... Joy the newspaper lady and Pam Godwin in site 3. They both receive $30 each. Congrats!
