We came close to taking the pet friendly aspect too far by temporarily adopting a stray dog that ended up in the park over the long weekend (Queen's Official Birthday in Australia). When the owners did show up after a couple of days our little friend was a couple of pounds fatter from all the sausages we fed him and a little wet from running in and out of the sea all day. We will miss the little fella, even if his name turned out to be 'Kujo', which we looked up later and apparently it's slang for rabid dog... Classy.
