There's a new crocodile and wildlife tour being run from Mission Beach and it's fantastic! You board the boat at 4.30pm, go for a relaxing sunset cruise where you're given a glass of wine or beer and some nibbles and then... Let the games begin! The tour guides are extremely knowledgeable about everything from mangrove tree science, mud crabbing, and most of all... crocodile hunting! As soon as the sun came down we were zipping along the Hull River with our high powered flashlights in hand, scanning the water for the orangey red reflection of the crocodiles' eyes. You go from seeing nothing in the daylight to seeing hundreds of little red eyes all over the place! We took James along as bait but in the end we didn't need to throw him in. Anyway, you have to try the tour. It's amazing.
