On behalf of myself and Fozzys family, I would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all. The support has been overwhelming, from the boats in the water, planes in the air, sandwiches made for the boys daily to take out, phones being answered, and the numerous messages of love and support. A special huge thanks to the boys who never gave up looking and brought us home closure and answers, they are more than gems and their efforts have given us some comfort in this difficult time.
Yesterday, Fozzys diving gear and clothing was located by our divers and this information was handed over to police. We can now confirm without doubt that Fozzy was taken by a shark whilst diving a 100 year old ship wreck, doing something he loved. Obviously we are still coming to terms with this information and and we will endeavour to pass on any further information/notices that comes to hand.
We understand that Fozzy was an integral part of this community and we are deeply grateful for your concern and we thank you so much for all that has been done. The community spirit and support is comforting for us all.
Having vessel already scheduled to come out of the water for refit 23rd this month, we will proceed as planned and will advise when services to Dunk Island will resume.
Fozzy was an amazing man and everyone will miss him greatly.
