Mission Beach State School (the school right next to the caravan park) will host this year's Banana Festival on Saturday the 24th of August. It takes place from 3pm until late and from what we gather there will be stalls and entertainment galore. Apparently Benny the Banana might be making an appearance as well. We have no idea who Benny the Banana is but we did a quick internet search and we think he might be this particular fun-loving dancing phenomenon.
