Penny's Poetry

There was a young man from the North
Who, keen for adventure set forth
With the sun and the sea
How hard could it be
To show what a van park was worth.

The young man could figure the odds
And knew how to hire a few bods
But found himself digging
Plus mowing and weeding the sods.

The patrons were interested mind
Hands in their pockets but kind
With the sun and the rain
Things are hard to maintain
How could tourism be such a grind.

But if one is fit and still young
Fresh air work can even be fun
A scene change is nice
There’s no snow and ice
As they say nothing ventured naught won.
