Nobody seems to like rain
Puddles are really a pain
While yesterday's rain is OK
Rain is never OK for today.
You can't do stuff in the rain
Not that I mean to complain
Though swimming is fun when it's hot
Getting drenched with your clothes on is not.
Are green leaves glad of the rain
Or do they limply think "Oh not again"
The rainforest's wall to wall green
A sign of downpours that have been.
Birds and bugs lie low in the rain
Cows and sheep munch on in the main
But people get much more upset
And hide inside to avoid getting wet!
We should be more grateful for rain
I mean who wants a barren terrain
But enough is as good as a feast
A break now and then, please, at least.
