We took a half day off yesterday to go explore a couple of local attractions including the town of Cardwell and Murray Falls. There are a few infrastructure works taking place in Cardwell, which is great to see happening even if it does mean a bit of traffic on the way in. We highly recommend a scrambled egg on toast breakfast or a crab sanga at Vivia café (http://www.tripadvisor.com.au/Restaurant_Review-g499640-d2634657-Reviews-Vivia_Cafe-Cardwell_Queensland.html) and a dip in the council outdoor swimming pool. Murray Falls was pretty spectacular but it was a bit too cold to go swimming and the idea that a crocodile might be chilling out nearby killed that idea off completely.
