Winter is the best time to stay in the far North of Queensland. The days are beautiful and just perfect for a relaxing day at the beach.
The temperatures are still up around 27 and 28 degrees and the water is still warm enough to swim. The beauty of this part of the coastline is that, even though the population has increased with tourists, you will more than likely have the beach all to yourself.
The beaches are very safe and ideal for small children to play in the shallows. Even the dogs love it!
